Feed is the main cost for most of the animal production systems, and represents between 60% and 70% of the total production cost.
Feed Conversion Ratios (FCR) is used to determine the amount of feed required to produce one unit of product of animal origin. The lower the FCR, the more efficient the feed is.
In order to increase FCR, genetics, antibiotics and growth promoter additives have been used. Today, however, more and more farmers are abandoning these methods for more natural additives such as MFeed, which is healthier for the animal, the farmer, and the environment.
